Our critical approach to AI technology requires a subtle inversion in the mindset of the user: it’s not about prompting ChatGPT, the goal is get ChatGPT to prompt us! The output of LLMs should be prompting our critical faculties, our love of truth and our human curiosity. In short, that is what our program in critical thinking is designed to do!

We use LLMs to get us to think more deeply, to question assumptions, to integrate knowledge and to strive toward a comprehensive love of truth — i.e. scientific a.k.a. ‘empirical’ truth, philosophical a.k.a. ‘theoretical’ truth and experiential a.k.a. ‘visceral’ truth.
